Reproducible and Portable Scientific Computing on HPC with Containers Online
This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to containerization, specifically exploring why Singularity/Apptainer is the ideal choice for high-performance computing environments.
Participants will learn how to streamline complex software installations by leveraging pre-built containers, bypassing the traditional hurdles of dependency conflicts and library mismatches on shared systems.
By mastering these tools, researchers can ensure their scientific workflows are fully reproducible across different platforms—a critical requirement for modern, data-driven science.
Requirements:
- This workshop will use the newly updated HPC. If you don't have access to the new cluster(https://ondemand-prod.pax.tufts.edu/), please submit a cluster account request at least 3 days prior to the workshop.
- 2FA is required
