Coffee Chat about Extra-curricular Research Instruction Online
Join us to discuss how to support student original research outside of the curriculum with micro-credentialing/badging!
Original research relies on strong information literacy (IL) and research data management (RDM) skills. However, research often operates independently from the traditional curriculum. A continuation of the discussion started with "Students as Original Researchers: Exploring Methods of Extracurricular Teaching" at the University-Wide Teaching Conference, PIs and anyone mentoring student researchers (undergrad or grad) outside of thesis process are invited to come to an informal discussion about how to sustainably grow Tisch Library's support of these students, including the role that micro-credentialing/badging might play.
